1 And YHWH said to Moses, “Now you will see that which I do to Pharaoh, for with a strong hand he sent them away, indeed, with a strong hand he threw them out of his land.” 2 And God spoke to Moses and said to him, “I am YHWH, 3 and I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, as God Almighty. As for My name YHWH, I have not been known to them. 4 And I have also established My covenant with them, to give the land of Canaan to them, the land of their sojournings, wherein they have sojourned. 5 And I have also heard the groaning of the sons of Israel, whom the Egyptians are causing to serve, and I remember My covenant. 6 Therefore say to the sons of Israel: I am YHWH, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and will deliver you from their service, and will redeem you by an outstretched arm, and by great judgments, 7 and will take you to Myself for a people, and I will be to you for God, and you will have know that I am your God YHWH, who has brought you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians. 8 And I will bring you to the land which I have lifted up My hand to give it to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, and will have give it to you—a possession. I am YHWH.” 9 And Moses spoke so to the sons of Israel, and they did not listen to Moses, for anguish of spirit, and for harsh service. 10 And YHWH spoke to Moses, saying, 11 “Go in, speak to Pharaoh king of Egypt, and he will send the sons of Israel out of his land.” 12 And Moses spoke before YHWH, saying, “Look, the sons of Israel have not listened to me, and how does Pharaoh hear me, and I of uncircumcised lips?” 13 And YHWH spoke to Moses and to Aaron, and charged them for the sons of Israel, and for Pharaoh king of Egypt, to bring out the sons of Israel from the land of Egypt. 14 These were heads of the house of their fathers. Sons of Reuben firstborn of Israel: Enoch, and Phallu, Hezron, and Carmi. These were families of Reuben. 15 And sons of Simeon: Jemuel, and Jamin, and Ohad, and Jachin, and Zohar, and Shaul, son of the Canaanite. These were families of Simeon. 16 And these were the names of the sons of Levi, as to their births: Gershon, and Kohath, and Merari. And the years of the life of Levi were 137 years. 17 The sons of Gershon: Libni and Shimi, as to their families. 18 And the sons of Kohath: Amram, and Izhar, and Hebron, and Uzziel. And the years of the life of Kohath were 133 years. 19 And the sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi. These were families of Levi, as to their births. 20 And Amram took his aunt Jochebed to himself for a wife, and she gave birth to Aaron and Moses to him. And the years of the life of Amram were 137 years. 21 And sons of Izhar: Korah, and Nepheg, and Zichri. 22 And sons of Uzziel: Mishael, and Elzaphan, and Sithri. 23 And Aaron took Elisheba daughter of Amminadab, sister of Naashon, to himself for a wife, and she gave birth to to him Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar. 24 And sons of Korah: Assir, and Elkanah, and Abiasaph. These were heads of the fathers of the Levites, as to their families. 26 This was Aaron—and Moses—to whom YHWH said, “Bring out the sons of Israel from the land of Egypt, by their hosts.” 27 These are they who were speaking to Pharaoh king of Egypt, to bring out the sons of Israel from Egypt, this was Moses—and Aaron. 28 And it came to pass in the day of YHWH’s speaking to Moses in the land of Egypt, 29 that YHWH spoke to Moses, saying, “I am YHWH, speak to Pharaoh king of Egypt all that I am speaking to you.” 30 And Moses said before YHWH, “Look, I am of uncircumcised lips, and how does Pharaoh listen to me?”
