Leviticus 26

1 “You will not make idols for yourselves. And you will not set up carved image or standing image for yourselves. and you will not put a stone of imagery in your land, to bow yourselves to it. for I am your God YHWH. 2 You will keep My Sabbaths and you will revere My sanctuary. I am YHWH. 3 If you walk in My statutes, and you keep My commands, and do them, 4 then I will give your rains in their season, and the land will give her produce, and the tree of the field will give its fruit. 5 And the threshing will reach to you, and the gathering, and the gathering will reach the sowing-time. And you will eat your bread to satiety, and stay confidently in your land. 6 And I will give peace in the land, and you will lay down, and there will be none causing trembling. And I will caused evil beasts to cease out of the land, and the sword will not pass over into your land. 7 And you will pursue your enemies, and they will fall before you by the sword. 8 And five of you will pursue 100, and 100 of you pursue a myriad. And your enemies will fall before you by the sword. 9 And I will turn to you, and make you fruitful, and multiply you, and will establish My covenant with you. 10 And you will eat old store, and bring out the old because of the new. 11 And I will give My Dwelling Place in your middle, and My soul will not loathe you. 12 And I will habitually walk in your middle, and will become your God, and you will become My people. 13 I am your God YHWH, who has brought you out of the land of the Egyptians, from being their servants. And I will break the bars of your yoke and cause you to go erect. 14 And if you do not listen to Me and do not do all these commands, 15 and if you kick at My statutes, and if your soul loathes My judgments, so as not to do all My commands—to your breaking My covenant— 16 I will also do this to you: I will even appoint trouble over you, the consumption, and the burning fever, consuming eyes, and cause pain of soul. And you will sow your seed in vain, and your enemies will eat it. 17 And I will set My face against you, and you will be struck before your enemies. And those hating you will rule over you, and you will flee when there is none pursuing you. 18 And if up to these you still do not listen to Me—then I will add to discipline you sevenfold for your sins. 19 And I will break the pride of your strength, and make your heavens as iron, and your earth as bronze. 20 And your strength will be consumed in vain, and your land will not give her produce, and the tree of the land will not give its fruit. 21 And if you walk with Me in opposition, and are not willing to listen to Me, then I will add to you a plague sevenfold, according to your sins, 22 and send the beast of the field against you, and it will bereave you. And I will cut off your livestock, and make you few, and your ways will be desolate. 23 And if by these you are not instructed by Me, and walk with Me in opposition, 24 then I will walk—I also—with you in opposition, and strike you, even I, sevenfold for your sins. 25 And I will bring in a sword on you, executing the vengeance of a covenant. And you will be gathered to your cities, and I will send pestilence into your middle, and you will be given into the hand of an enemy. 26 In My breaking your staff of bread, then ten women will bake your bread in one oven, and give back your bread by weight. And you will eat and will not be satisfied. 27 And if for this you do not listen to Me, and walk with Me in opposition, 28 then I will walk with you in the fury of opposition, and discipline you, even I, sevenfold for your sins. 29 And you will eat the flesh of your sons. And you will eat the flesh of your daughters. 30 And I will destroy your high places, and cut down your images, and put your carcasses on the carcasses of your idols, and My soul will loathe you. 31 And I will make your cities a ruin, and make your sanctuaries desolate, and I will not smell your refreshing fragrance. 32 And I will make the land desolate, and your enemies who are staying in it will be astonished at it. 33 And I will scatter you among nations, and draw out a sword after you, and your land will be a desolation, and your cities a ruin. 34 Then the land will enjoy its Sabbaths all the days of the desolation—and you will be in the land of your enemies. Then the land will rest, and will enjoy its Sabbaths. 35 It will rest all the days of the desolation for that which it has not rested in your Sabbaths, in your staying on it. 36 And those who are left of you—I will also bring a faintness into their heart in the lands of their enemies, and the sound of a leaf driven away will pursue them, and they will flee as in flight from a sword—and they will fall, and there will be none pursuing. 37 And they will stumble on one another, as from the face of a sword, and there will be none pursuing, and you will have no standing before your enemies, 38 and you will perish among the nations, and the land of your enemies will consume you. 39 And those who are left of you—they will consume away in their iniquity, in the lands of your enemies. And also in the iniquities of their fathers, they will consume away with them. 40 And if they have confessed their iniquity and the iniquity of their fathers, in their trespass which they have trespassed against Me, and also that they have walked with Me in opposition, 41 when I also walk in opposition to them, and have brought them into the land of their enemies—if then their uncircumcised heart is humbled, and then they accept the punishment of their iniquity— 42 then I will remember My covenant with Jacob, and also My covenant with Isaac, and also My covenant with Abraham I remember, and I will remember the land. 43 And the land will be left by them, and enjoy its Sabbaths, in the desolation without them, and they will accept the punishment of their iniquity, because, even because, they kicked against My judgments, and their soul loathed My statutes, 44 and also even this, in their being in the land of their enemies, I will not reject them, nor loathe them, to consume them, to break My covenant with them. For I am their God YHWH— 45 Then I will remember for them the covenant of the ancestors, whom I brought out from the land of Egypt before the eyes of the nations to become their God. I am YHWH.” 46 These will be the statutes, and the judgments, and the laws, which YHWH has given between Him and the sons of Israel in Mount Sinai, by the hand of Moses.
